"Our school district purchased Library 4 Universal from Kelowna Software in 1995 and after over a year of working with it all our librarians agree that it was the wisest decision that we could have made. We had demonstrations from Winnebago, Follett, Ameritech and Alexandria. Kelowna Software came to Pennsylvania to give us a personal demonstration and we were sold immediately. It is extremely user friendly - many of our first graders have been able to use it. The technical service is great - anytime you call you get someone immediately. I have kept track and since September of 1995, I have only had to be called back twice because support staff were on another line. "The IdentiFi Finger Scanner is working extremely well in our secondary school library! We were looking for a cost effective solution that was compatible with our existing software and would allow students to check out items even if they had forgotten, lost, or damaged their library id cards. Initially there was a bit of concern from our Parent Advisory Committee regarding the privacy and security of recording the students’ fingerprints. When I explained that the system did not actually store a scan of their fingerprint but took only enough measurements to be able to recognize an enrolled student, and that enrollment was completely voluntary, they thought it was a great solution!"
