Show Me...

With the release of L4U Platinum 2.0 in January 2008, Kelowna Software Ltd. is proud to introduce a new product called Show Me. Show Me is comprised of multimedia training videos for each module in L4U, which means that users can instantly refresh their knowledge at any time and wherever they are in L4U.

Our experience has shown that much of the information learnt in a training course is often forgotten by the time the user needs it. With these multimedia training videos being available 24 hours a day directly from within each L4U module it is easy for users to continue with the task at hand.

For example, Show Me will demonstrate and guide you through inventory, how to create barcode labels, custom reports, importing new client lists, how to customize the iPAC interface for your patrons, plus much more! Show Me is available by subscription to all customers running L4U Platinum 2.0 or later.

L4U Guru

Dear L4U Guru:
We are new to L4U and have started to look at creating our own labels. Is there a step by step way to create some great label templates to run? I’d like to be able to create spine labels, item barcodes and barcodes for patrons library cards.

We have some great documentation available online to walk you through the process of creating labels. We have a document available for each type of label you specified. To access these documents, simply log in to Client Corner and click on “Tech Notes”. Take your L4U Knowledge to the Next Level

Online Training
Our online training classes are a big hit for our L4U newcomers and our experienced L4U veterans. Online training allows you to learn from the convenience of your own computer, without incurring any travel expenses. You do not need L4U open or even on the computer for the training session. We use our installation of L4U and present via the Internet. Cost effective, targeted training lets you choose what and when you learn. Kelowna Software offers the following options for Online training;

Premium Online Training - One and a half hour specialized sessions, with limited class sizes to allow for interaction with the trainer.

Personal Online Training - One on one interaction with the trainer, on the topics that best suit your needs.

A New Face to Kelowna Software Ltd.

Kelowna Software Ltd. would like to welcome Vladimir Krylov to the L4U Development Team! Vladimir recently moved to Canada from Kiev, Ukraine. Along with over five years of industry related experience, Vladimir also holds a Masters Degree in Information Technologies from Ukraine’s National Aerospace University. Vladimir is anxious to bring his wife and 14 month old daughter to Canada to live with him as in his words “…Canada has an outstanding society,… it is really a place where you can plan for your family’s future and where you can be motivated in your work as well as having it really appreciated”. We are very pleased to have Vladimir join the L4U and Kelowna Software Ltd. family!
