L4U Platinum 2.0 introduces a number of features that deliver resources directly into the hands of Patrons while making it easier to centralize control of all resources and focusing on bringing Patrons and reading together in a way that is fun and easy.

These enhancements are specifically designed to meet the needs of Patrons and Librarians. More Libraries are moving to centralized administrative functions and want a solution that will meet the needs of the youngest Patron but be sophisticated enough for the research guru. L4U Platinum 2.0 for the Patron

• Patrons can choose to have the results screen to display the standard “List” style or the new "Detail" Display which displays a simple summary of the Items along with Book covers (if present) making the interface more appealing.
• Additional record details can be seen simply by hovering the mouse over the item.
• Allows for automatic spell checking in the search making it quicker for the patron to find the resources they are looking for.
• Searches can now be performed from any page in iPAC Platinum via the new Easy Search field which will search almost all fields of the bibliographic record and return results weighted by relevance to the search terms.
• L4U Platinum 2.0 can provide patrons alternative search suggestions based upon the criteria provided, giving them more search resources to choose from.
• When iPAC Patrons do Author searches, L4U will now analyze the author searched on and make suggestions on other Authors that have similar subject matter.
• The new results display allows patrons to quickly jump to any page of an iPAC search, and change the number of results displayed on each page.
• iPAC Platinum gives patrons a new "My Profile" page with a detailed summary of their activity, Reserved Items ready for pick up, Items out and/or overdue, Items on reserve and much more.
• All the new iPAC settings available to the patron can be saved for the next time they login.

L4U Platinum 2.0 for the Librarian

• Along with full Circulation, iPAC Platinum lets libraries perform full client management via any supported web browser.
• Can manage and convert your existing ISBN to support ISBN 13 making it easier for copy cataloguing.
• L4U MARC Records can be rebuilt with our new SmartMARC™ technology. Easily rebuild all or parts of the MARC Records either on individual records, subsets of records or the entire database!
• Each time changes are made to the L4U/MARC records, L4U now creates a “MARC Snapshot” of the MARC record so it can be easily reverted back to in case of error. Each L4U Record will contain up to 3 MARC Snapshots being, Original MARC Record, User Saved MARC Snapshot and Automatic MARC Snapshot.
• iPAC Skins can now be set and changed from inside L4U without any outside technical assistance. Also, Patrons can change skins on the fly directly from within the iPAC.
• Offers a customized iPAC skin to each audience level all from one L4U installation.
• Many new default iPAC Customization settings have been added so that the Library overall and/or specific Homerooms can have their iPAC experiences individually customized.
• Administrators can easily configure the iPAC to force the patron to login prior to searching.
