The L4U RECON staff is extensively trained in US Standard MARC format and AACR2 cataloging rules. You can be assured that your collection will be accurately and efficiently converted, while conforming to the standards in our industry as well as your special requests. Conversion Services
Converting your existing library automation system to L4U is a simple and painless process. Whether your current system can provide full MARC records, partial MARC records or just an ASCI text file, our experienced Conversion Team can handle it. After all, we've been converting systems to L4U for 25 years.
If you don't have MARC records and your current system cannot export an ASCII text file, our RECON department can economically convert your existing data to US MARC records.
Re-barcoding is virtualy never necessary. We'll test your existing barcodes for compatibility with L4U at no charge.
Many of the schools in our district converted to L4U from another automation system. We didn't have the resources to manually enter all our old data, even though our brief records only contained 5 or 6 fields. Kelowna Software made the transition easy by completing the conversion and sending our data back already imported into our L4U programs!
