Conversion Services
Converting your existing library automation system to Library 4 Universal™ is a simple and painless process. Almost any existing library system can be converted to L4U quickly and easily. At Kelowna Software Ltd., conversion to L4U is no mystery. We've been converting systems to L4U for 19 years.
Upgrading your existing library automation software is an important step towards increasing the efficiency of your library and improving the accessibility of resources for both patrons and staff.
If you don't have MARC records and your current system cannot export an ASCII text file, our RECON department can economically convert your existing data to US MARC records. Re-barcoding is not necessary in most instances. We'll test your existing barcodes for compatibility with L4U at no charge.
Many of the schools in our district converted to L4U from another automation system. We didn’t have the resources to manually enter all our old data, even though our brief records only contained 5 or 6 fields.
