Previously released as a CD application, CheckMARC is now available as an online subscription service to compliment our L4U Library Automation Software
The CheckMARC Platinum records are in original MARC format, and are derived from actual school content, including over 50,000 French records. Records can be searched by 6 different criteria, including Title, ISBN, Author, Publisher, NLC, LCCN, or all fields simultaneously. Once the appropriate record has been found, the MARC Record can be easily downloaded into your L4U Acquisitions File.
With the CheckMARC Platinum subscription, there is no per record fee. The annual subscription allows librarians to download as many records as needed, via their internet connection

L4U, is working for me. I don’t have a lot of time to spare most days and this system has saved me from typing catalog cards, as well as alphabetizing cards and putting them in the drawers. Students love to look up a book on the computer. The program works so well for the school library that our town library is considering using it.
