Sales Representative
Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for the achievement of the sales expectations of the company within a designated area (Eastern US) or set of accounts on an individual and/or team basis. The Account Representative is the key liaison between the company & its clients. The incumbent is responsible for communicating to the client the company offerings, policies and programs and communicate to the company the needs and priorities of the client. The Account Representative builds and manages the client relationship, manages the client's expectations, negotiates service delivery requirements with the customer and other departments within L4U, and resolves business issues.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve sales objectives within designated accounts and identified markets through the implementation of company programs, initiatives and procedures, creation of programs or initiatives and procedures, administration of the programs and initiatives to both established and new clients.
- Establish a business relationship with key managers, decision makers and executives within assigned accounts, an assigned geographical area or an assigned market.
- Develop product and services sales leads through these client relationships.
- Develop a detailed understanding of customers' strategies and operational objectives. Work with other Account Representative and Product / Managers to maintain this information for Company planning, decision making and staff development.
- Maintain and improve standards of SRB's corporate image; customer service by effective communication and presentation of SRB's programs, initiatives, products and services to School Boards or any other type of clientele, though Account visits, participation in trade shows and conferences and contributing to the creation and maintenance of high quality marketing materials (e.g. brochures, presentations, web site).
- Interpret competitive marketing environment to ensure company has continued progress in terms of market share and sales revenues. Recommend and initiate competitive market watch process to secure position by evaluating and analyzing competitive action, economic and customer trends.
- Negotiate and communicate cross functional implementation, training and support service requirements to ensure customer expectations are understood and addressed in a timely fashion.
- Mediate and resolve issues impacting the relationships of the company with its clientele by the application of good business judgment, fairness and by analysis of the critical factors causing the issues.
- Work with other departments to establish and maintain harmonious inter-department relationships to achieve maximum performance results through optimal communication and prompt effective follow-through on requests and directives.
Working conditions
The position will work from a Home Office. The position requires travel on average two times per month for 3-5 days, as well as day trips to more accessible customer locations.
The position has regular exposure to the resolution of customer issues involving financial matters, license agreements, service agreements, request for enhancements to existing product line, request for resolution of critical and minor's software bugs, negotiations of new license and service agreements. A High stress factor is inherent in representing L4U's position to the customer and the customer's position to L4U.
The position has a high stress factor inherent in the expectation of meeting sales targets despite all obstacles.

Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- 5 Years sales experience selling into the government /education markets.
- Proven track record of achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly quotas.
